Psychologist Job Duties
Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours and professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities such as, but not limited to the following: Quality Improvement meeting, professional staff meetings, Commander's staff meetings, Mental Health Flight meetings, and others required by applicable regulations, MTF guidance, or as directed by the Mental Health Flight Commander or his/her designated representative.
Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health psychology.
Clinical/Counseling Psychology. Responsible for and applies psychological procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, evidenced-based therapies, and psychological testing/psychodiagnostic testing, in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders. The following are desirable skills:
Individual, family and group psychotherapy, and couples therapy, alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.
Consults with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts, as required.
Maintain accurate and current notes in both the Mental Health records and inpatient medical records of all patients seen, as appropriate, and produces reports of evaluation and/or treatment, as required.
Requirements & Experience
Have a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or (Psy.D.) degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited program.
Shall have completed an APA accredited internship/residency in professional psychology.
Must be a U.S citizen and have the ability to pass a background check/security clearance.
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist for our Portland OR location.
Preferred Experience
Strong candidates for this position will have experience providing psychotherapy to adults and experience administering, scoring and interpreting psychological tests a plus. Experience giving supervision and working with an Interdisciplinary Team a plus.
Expections for the Psychologist
Must be of good professional standing. Basic understanding and the ability to utilize computer software and electronic record keeping. Timeliness, quality and organization of clinical documentation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Good work habits, self motivated, openness to learning and positive attitude. Mental Health services provided in varies settings; Outpatient and Long Term Care Facilities in Southwest Washington and NE Portland, Oregon. No prior experience in Geriatrics, training will be provided.

Hennepin Healthcare is looking to hire an Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist.
Hennepin Healthcare has an opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to work full time days in our Adult Psychiatry Clinic as part of the Hennepin Coordinated Care system. We provide full psychiatric and psychotherapy services to individuals 18 and older, including evaluation, medication, individual therapy, and group therapy. Our nearly 50-person staff conduct some 25,000 patient visits a year, among the largest psychiatry clinics in the region. All physicians and therapists are board-certified, and together they are trained to address every type of psychological concern with skill and sensitivity.Call is divided among all providers who alternate Saturday and Sunday call. In general, that happens every 6-7 weeks.
Psychiatrist Qualifications
Completion of a Psychiatry Residency.
Possession of a current unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the State of Minnesota or must be eligible for licensure.
